When I choose a Vendor there are several factors not just the best price,
I’m looking for what I call the “Simplest Price”.
Simplest Price: is a mixture of the total price, the ordering process,
the intelligence of the packaging and their choice of shipper, and the quality of the parts.
Back in Aug-17, I order a couple boxes of Fabricated Parts for my Blue Truck.
I sat down to the Computer and I placed my order, done and dust (so I thought).
Except that I didn’t double check the size of the parts I had BEFOR I ordered.
Never even thought about it until last week when I came to a frustrating halt in progress
because the new parts don’t fit by 0.500-inch...
Check the order and I got exactly what I ordered! FU-mine!
It has been about 8-months since I completed that original order so,
I have no expectations of the vendor needs to do anything other then let me order
the correct parts, but I did have to contact them because one of the parts I need was out of stock...
In passing I mentioned my FUBAR. . .
The reason that I am posting this short story is because the Sales-guy simply offers to
exchange the parts I ordered, with the parts I need, W/O any cost, other then shipping
there and back again. A simple thing and unexpected!
That is why I use
RUFFSTUFF Specialties even for parts I could make.
