Adding plate to a tube assembly, how to?

I have surched all over and gone though the SM tutorials but can't seem to wrap my head around it. I understand how to build a SM part and even assembly if I am following step by step instructions. How do you add a plate to a tube assembly? Like if there is a area between two sections of tube that I want to add SM plate with dimple dies into how is that done? Because it makes no sense to try to build the plate standalone and find a way to send it to the assembly. And if that's the case how would you make it fit right?

Any help would be most welcome. Thanks

Our technical writer has been working on rewriting the area of inputting into an assembly. Should be on our WIKI in a few days.

Thanks very much. I have been using BT for years, have had SM for more then a year but till now it's just seemed easier to lay out SM work by hand then try try to in the program. I'll check the wiki later this week.
