Sure Shot
Anyone else a fan of these things?
I picked the green one up a while ago and have been keeping acetone in it. I've paid for it in the difference in cost of buying gallons of acetone vs. aerosol cans of brake parts cleaner. I just added the red one for LPS-2, one of my favorite rust preventatives.
They're really well made and easy to fill up and charge with compressed air. One charge of air is enough to empty the liquid contents.

I have a knockoff I use for wd40. I also have a hand pump one I use for brakleen, can't remember the name tho. Yes, I've saved the the cost fairly quick.

That's awesome. I could see that coming in handy for all kinds of things.
With regards to acetone in place of brake cleaner, I thought the advantage of brake cleaner over acetone was that (with sufficient drying time) it doesn't leave residue?

You're probably right about that. Since my primary use of solvent is cleaning stuff for welding, I just go straight for acetone because it's cheap, readily available and there is only one known ingredient. I was using non-chlorinated brake cleaner for stuff I couldn't readily clean with acetone on a rag, and the Sure Shot has taken over for that.
On Amazon, they show bulk CRC brake clean as something often purchased with a Sure Shot. Turns out you can buy a 5 gallon pail of it, which should also be a huge cost savings over aerosol cans.

I did that exact thing, only I bought them from Zoro.com with a 25% off coupon, which made the savings huge. I think that was about 1.5 years ago, and I think I still have 1/4 of the pail left. So yes, I agree, Sure Shots are the mack!

The alternative that I use is a "Pro Pump and Spray", #50100 Viton/P4. No need for a compressor.

Yep, I use a Sure Shot as well. It's my go-to Acetone dispenser.
