Quiet

I've been a long time lurker here and noticed one thing that's been common throughout this whole board.
I know life has taken over for a lot of people but dang, I used to enjoy coming here and seeing what others are working on but its gotten really really quiet.

I mean church mouse quiet.

Yes it has. I think all forums have died down with the advent of facebook. The small ones you can really notice the effect.

It's kinda sad how quiet it is here......of course I can take some blame for that. Life has just taken me in a different direction. Yes it does seem that everyone has migrated to the hundreds if not thousands of facebook groups. I hate facebook groups. They are no where near what a forum is. Far too many of them to begin with and it is impossible to search for anything.

Vertical Scope Bought up most the larger Forums to sell ads. Which has driven alot of people off them. Facebook is easier to use but ****ing horrible for tech. And you get the same retarded questions 12 times because no good search and everyone wants spoon feed simple shit. I hate it but just like news papers are gone so goes the forums.

I haven't joined many FB groups, and certainly not for serious tech, but I have gotten used to the instant gratification of uploading photos and getting replies quickly on Instagram. It's nowhere near the depth of the forums, but I'm not longer spending much time editing and uploading photos or writing lengthy explanations that often go unanswered. I am still in touch with a number of OFN members through Instagram - anyone that wants to connect, I'm @chevyhotrodder and please DM to let me know if you came from here so I can connect the names!
