forgot this one. for ground wires, i drilled holes in the frame and put a 5/16" flange nut upside down into the hole and welded it in place. I did that in 3 spots. Battery is grounded to the frame, cab to the frame and engine to the frame.

Aside from having no glass, all body bolts and rear suspension bolts loose, no gauges except oil pressure, wires hanging everywhere under the dash, front end alignment way off and more, it was perfect !

Are those "high beams" up by the door? Cool stuff. Did you take off the white lettering on that lens or is it just missing in the last photo?

No, originally the cowl lights were just markers. I converted them to marker/signal lights. The lettering on the gauge glass must have been water based because it came right off when I cleaned the glass. I've redone the lettering with a paint pen. The lettering is recessed so the paint just flows into the recesses, then scrape off the excess when it dries.

installed the gauges. I need to ground the gauge lights and add some hidden indicator lights for the turn signals and high beams. Also have to measure for a speedo cable. I have the fuel surge tank out to fix a few small pinholes so i could not test the temp gauge. I had the oil pressure gauge hooked up temporarily before. The volt gauge and fuel level worked fine.

installed the hood, mounted the running boards and started prepping the windshield frame for repair of the swiss cheese rust holes.

Great build, good thread, good brakes, good tires, but the excellence is in the wheel widening. Me likes!
