Leaf spring mods.

I'm putting a 6 inch lift on my truggy using six inch lift leaf springs. I'd love to go for the 4 link setup up but for now this will have to do. I'm using a chevy chassis with a corporate 14 bolt rear and dana 60 up front with hydraulic steering. I'd like to hear your thoughts on if I remove three of the six springs will that effect my lift and also my articulation. I feel that the springs are to stiff the way they are. What are some pro or cons and what would you do? Thanks for letting me ramble on. gipperz

Cons: 1.loss of lift
2.increased axle wrap
3.fatiguing the springs
Pros: 1.better ride quality
2.more articulation
I've done this in the past on a couple different rigs. With and w/o anti wrap bars. The only thing I would say is get a spare set of leaf springs to pack along for spares.I've broke a complete rear end out of the truck and spent 8hrs. recovering the rig.My driving style contributed to the demolition and I knew better. We took those down to 2 leafs with a anti wrap bar.It worked very well for a long time till BANG!!!
