1951 Spartan Aircraft Co Imperial Mansion project

A Very nice lady asked if I could help with her camper project, she needed a new air conditioner installed in place of a non working much older unit. The Catch it is not a bolt in... the vent hole needed to be modified... opened up to 14x14 from 12x16 the victim in this surgery was a 1951 Spartan Imperial Mansion Travel trailer, pretty much untouched. has had a blackwater tank installed and the toilet relocated for more shower room...
interior wood still intact...

Client Provided some examples of the work to be accomplished from others who have done the same modification....

I kinda like my solution a lot more...

My solution

There are a few Cherry blind rivets that go into a structural member on the leading edge. where I couldn't get a bucking bar in without removing the interior wood...
