New addition to the shop, Mittler Jamey Jordan Bead Roller

Mittler Bros. Jamey Jordan 36" Deluxe Kit, the machine is 6' long OAL. Much larger than anticipated when I ordered it. Only rolled a couple practice panels just to get my feet wet, Learned a few things rather rapidly...

A- Go Slow... no, SLOWER, NO, REALLY REALLY REALLY SLOW... NO, WAY SLOWER than that!
B- the Step dies can cut metal... even the Nylon ones...
C- it is not as easy as some make it look.
D- it is a pretty slick process nonetheless, and I was making pretty good progress on the second practice panel,
E- it sure seems that larger panels should be easier than the 10x10s that I am practicing on.

Like anything though this is going to require practice practice practice...

AND
that Milwaukee Inkzall marker right out of the pack will scratch the piss out of 3003 aluminum...

Last time I did the V8 in freehand layout, this time I cut a vinyl template and inked it in... Then layed out the lines...

I know. It was just a crappy flood damaged drop so I was not worried about centering it and I think the angle of the second set of lines is off as well Just trying to get better and the rolling and starts and stops... Before I do one for a client.

My day to day is making signs for people. Bending metal, Cutting metal, Welding Metal, Powder coating, illuminating, etc etc etc.. .

I bend tubing randomly Shop next door does roll cages and chassis and I bend tube for them from time to time, and I do for a couple other shops but I seldom bend for me! LOL!

That NCM piece is a 48" Continuous bead on .125 Aluminum, The design is plasma cut in a sheared piece of 5052 the top form is also Plasma cut to shape, then all the edges sanded, bunch of 1" welds on the inside. then reset it and did the continuous bead.

this is 2" hrew tube bent for another shop for a P&R dock ladder project... bend weld baseplates on then the shop picks em up and gets them galvanized. did a bunch of repair parts for another shop for badger baskets 1" round tube and 1" square tube... those are recurring orders.
