Ok.
Most OEM transaxles for FWD Cars are really wide at the Inner or DOJ. This to eliminate plunge and thus slip joints on the drive-shafts.
Comparatively...
That will make the track width of your suspension really wide or you will have short wheel travel before you take the CV's our of their operating range.
AND I could be completely wrong!
